Cleaning the bathroom can be a real pain.
If you are like most people, you have spent more than your fair share of time trying all the new bathroom cleaners that claim to do such a great job, only to be disappointed in the end.
You probably feel like no matter how much time you spend cleaning the bathroom or how frequently you do it, it is never quite as clean as you would like it to be.
Below is a list of five different bathroom cleaning tips that you can use to help you get that bathroom shining like never before.
5 Bathroom Cleaning Tips
Many of these bathroom cleaning tips also make the entire process faster and less painful for you.
1) Take things a step at a time
Sometimes, cleaning the bathroom can seem overwhelming, especially when it is in particularly bad shape.
It can make it a lot easier to handle if you tackle it one step at a time or tackle certain sections at a time.
This prevents you from looking at the entire job as a whole and becoming overwhelmed before you even get started. Yes I know it seems more like a mental thing, but we need to use our mind even to clean, so we consider this one a great bathroom cleaning tips.
2) Use vinegar and baking soda
You might have tried virtually every bathroom cleaner on the market, but two of the very best cleaners are probably staples that you have in your home for all sorts of things.
If you haven’t previously used the combination of vinegar and baking soda, you will be shocked at how well this mixture actually cleans!
You can use it to clean the toilet, showers, tubs and sinks. It also works especially well for clearing out clogged drains or taking care of drains that stink.
The idea is to put some baking soda down and then add vinegar. It will bubble and fizz and that is how you know it is working.
The best part is that it doesn’t have all of those toxic chemicals like the commercial cleaners do.
3) Scrubbing is a must
Some of these commercial cleaning products try to make you believe that you can get a pristine bathroom without scrubbing it. That is not ever the case.
It isn’t enough to simply put a product on your tub or inside your toilet and then come back later and rinse it off. You have to scrub it. (yes, I know it’s hard work that’s we offer this bathroom cleaning hassle free)
There is simply no substitute for some good old-fashioned elbow grease when it comes to getting the bathroom clean. Unless you get a professional cleaning service
4) Use bags full of vinegar to clean faucets
If you have hard water, you probably have faucets that don’t run the way they used to.
The deposits in hard water can do a real number on shower heads and every other faucet in your house.
Fill small sandwich bags with vinegar and then attach the bags over the faucet head with rubber bands so that the end of the faucet is directly in the vinegar.
Leave it there for several hours or overnight if possible. It should clear out the deposits and restore water flow.
5) Do the floors last
The last thing you want to do is clean the floor.
If you think about all the grime and gunk that you have been scrubbing while cleaning the toilets and everything else, it only makes sense to save the floors for last.
Make sure that you start by sweeping or vacuuming up loose dirt and debris. Finally, mop the floor with a solution that also disinfects it.
If necessary, get down on your hands and knees and scrub up against the baseboards to make sure that you have disinfected everything. It takes a little work, but it is definitely worth it.
